Right in the heart of Marseille, this duplex apartment oozes chic and charm. It’s a short walk from the old Vieux Port, where you can stop in one of the traditional seafood restaurants for a bowl of Bouillabaisse and admire the yachts. From your doorstep, the shambling streets of the old centre weave past old churches and squares, and are filled with shops, restaurants and pavement cafés. Inside, you can choose between reclining in the plush lounge, or heading up to the reading area on the mezzanine level to while away the evening. Wicker and straw accents against the white walls and grey, concrete-effect floor add a bit of boho charm and touches like the mid-century mustard chair add pops of colour. From the kitchen sink, you’ve got a view of Marseille’s shambling rooftops, display through a long window like a picture. While in the other direction, you can spot the striking outline of Notre Dame de la Garde perched on a hilltop.
